About the Half-Day Quad Tour in Merzouga

Our half-day quad tour in Merzouga is designed for travellers who want a real expedition feeling without committing a whole day. It combines a substantial ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi with time in the wider desert around them — the stony plains, dry riverbeds and small settlements that most visitors never see from a camel or a 4x4.

With around four hours, the pace changes. You are no longer trying to fit everything in; you can stop when something catches your eye, take photographs in different light and listen to your guide explain how people live and travel around the dunes. The route is agreed with you before departure, depending on what you would like to see and on the conditions that day.

This is a ride for people who are comfortable on a quad or who have done a shorter ride first. Beginners can join if they are confident and in good health, but we will always be honest if we think a shorter tour would be more enjoyable for you.

Highlights

  • Around four hours of guided exploration
  • Dunes plus the wider desert landscapes around Erg Chebbi
