About the Full-Day Buggy Tour in Merzouga
The full-day buggy tour from Merzouga is our longest buggy experience. A buggy is comfortable over long distances, which makes it a great vehicle for a full day exploring Erg Chebbi and the vast desert around it.
Each full-day tour is planned individually. We discuss your experience, the season and your interests, then agree a route, the timing and what is included — such as lunch — before you book. Your guide leads the way all day, with breaks during the hottest hours.
This is a big day out and best suited to confident drivers. If you are new to off-road driving, we recommend a shorter tour first.
A full day also changes the rhythm of the experience. Instead of squeezing the desert into an hour, you watch it change through the day: crisp morning light on the dunes, the shimmer of the plains at midday, long golden shadows in the afternoon. There is time to stop wherever something catches your eye, to talk with your guide about life around Erg Chebbi, and to simply sit in the silence. For many guests, that is what stays with them longest.
